CSA Program

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  It's a program designed to benefit both the farmer and the consumer.  The consumer pays for a share of the farm's harvest at the beginning of the season when the farmer needs the money for seed, soil fertility and other yearly start up costs.  Once the harvest begins, the consumer receives a bag of fresh produce that is presently being harvested.  The dollar value of the produce in the bag is approximately 20% more than regular retail price.

In the SPRING, this includes lettuce, radishes, kohlrabi, spinach and other early season vegetables.  When Spring becomes SUMMER, the contents of the bag will change to cabbage, beets, carrots, etc.  As the season progresses sweet corn, summer squash, potatoes, onions, peas, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and other summer crops will fill the bag.

 

PRICE & LENGTH OF SEASON for 2025
 

The 2025 CSA will run from May 31st to October 11th and the price will be $400.

 

​​PICK UP
 

 The Summer CSA bag can be picked up at Warner's Produce in Montrose - or the Falls Park Farmer's Market, or the Brandon Farmer's Market on Saturdays. But if you plan on picking up at the Market...

 

This year we will not be going to the Market for a month or so after the bedding plant season is over at the end of June. So, we'll deliver the CSA's that would normally be picked up at the Market. Those deliveries will be on Friday. During that time, we ask that you put a cooler beside your door or in a garage or other designated spot and we'll leave your CSA bag in there. We're still determining how long that will be for, but it will be at least the month of July.  We will let you know.

 

We're planning to focus more energy on getting our fall crops going well during that time.

The CSA's that are picked up at the Farm will see no difference.

DELIVERY TO SIOUX FALLS AREA

 

$5 per week delivery option for Sioux Falls area +10 miles.

Summer CSA, delivered - ($25/week)  $500.00 tax included.

SCHEDULING CONFLICTS
 

If a CSA member is unavailable to receive the share on any particular week, please let us know.  We can either give the share to someone you’ve arranged to receive it in your place or give you a double share the following week. 

 

We also reserve the right to delay deliveries due to inclement weather.  We will notify you if this occurs and schedule an alternative delivery day.
