We have new varieties of tomato plants every year and often new pepper varieties. Here are a few new ones we're planning to grow this year.
Ochre Heart is a dwarf plant related to Uluru Ochre, though the tomatoes are heart shaped instead of oblate. The color is a unique burnt orange or terracotta and it has a smooth, smokey flavor with underlying sweetness. It does well in containers or in the ground.

Rebel Starfighter Kayeigh Anne - Another great addition to the Rebel Starfighter series. This one is a cocktail sized round tomato. It's pale yellow with blue antho shoulders. As with other antho tomatoes, more exposure to sunlight results in more blue coloration. This is a very sweet variety.
I thought I'd taken some pictures of this one, but apparently not. This picture comes from Happy Seeds. Mine looked just like this.

Isis Brandy - As the name suggests, this is a cross between Brandywine and Isis Candy. I have not previously grown it but the description is intriguing enough for me to put it in the bedding plant line up. It's bigger than a cherry at 2 to 4 oz and is bi-color/pink like Isis Candy. It has a very sweet, fruity flavor.
The picture is from Bounty Hunter Seeds.

Blue's Bling - This is another dwarf that did well in containers. I didn't grow it in the ground but I'm sure it would thrive there as well. The leaves are variegated in the spring, though they tend to return to pure green when the the intensity of the sun increases. The flavor is very much like Cherokee Purple (which it is descended from).
These pictures were taken of my first few Blue's Bling and are smaller than the later fruits.

Jane's Judy Clark Family Tomato - This is a large dark beefsteak with great productivity. They were tasty and many were a pound or more. They continued to pump out tomatoes until frost. One of the best of last year's trial varieties.

Azure Giant - A beefsteak with antho shoulders and very good taste. This one also gets more blue on it with more sun exposure.

There will probably be a few more new varieties as well because my head is easily turned by good looking tomatoes. But these are the ones on the plan. If anyone has any other recommendations, please feel free to let me know.
